It is with great pleasure that I address you today as I assume my responsibilities as the Chief Commissioner of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority. 

I am deeply proud of Aqaba’s significant achievements on the economic and tourism fronts throughout the past years, which have solidified its position as a leading destination in investment and tourism both locally and regionally.

In recent years, Aqaba has witnessed remarkable developments with the implementation of several vital projects that enhance its infrastructure and support its economic growth, Among these initiatives is the development of a new port which will significantly increase trade activity and bolster the city’s competitiveness. 

Additionally, we have launched new tourism projects aimed at attracting more visitors, including the development of luxury resorts and hotels and residential compounds reflecting our commitment to providing an exceptional tourism experience and investment opportunities.

In our efforts to enhance the investment environment, we have introduced new investment incentives designed to attract both local and international investors. These incentives include tax reductions, streamlined administrative procedures, and support for small and medium-sized enterprises. We believe that these incentives will strengthen Aqaba’s ability to attract more investments, contributing to sustainable development.

Moreover, we are in the process of transforming Aqaba into a smart city, where we aim to integrate modern technology into all aspects of daily life. By developing digital infrastructure, we will improve public services, enhance transportation efficiency, and provide a more comfortable and seamless living environment for both residents and visitors.

Furthermore, we are dedicated to promoting environmental sustainability through renewable energy projects, ensuring that Aqaba remains a vibrant city for future generations. 

We believe that sustainable development is the key to a bright future, and we strive to achieve a balance between economic growth and environmental preservation.
